We are KOLLEKTIV ART, a tunisian based Ngo for defense, accompaniment, and promotion of cultures, digital and alternative arts. The missions of KOLLEKTIV ARTS revolve around three main axes:

the structuring of the network

the training of artists and youth interested in art

the organization of high impact cultural events.

Managing an art gallery needs all of the artistic awareness, business acumen, interpersonal skills and practical abilities you can possibly have to ensure artistic success of the gallery and to enhance its reputation.

Responsibilities

Your job description includes these tasks:

• ensure the smooth running of the gallery
• develop and maintain the gallery’s remit
• Providing information to the visitors
• Networking with art collectors and artists
• Updating the gallery’s website and social media accounts
• maintain ongoing promotion and advertising of the gallery especialy through social media and events creation
• plan, organise, present and market exhibitions and shows, including responsibility for public relations
• work closely with individual artists, develop relationships with new artists, and
• extend relationships with established artists
• promote exhibitions and work by individual artists
• organise equipment hire and ensure correct installation of the artwork
• develop client lists by notifying potential clients of particular works and exhibitions, according to their interests
• extend the galery database
• catalogue acquisitions and keep records
• keep up to date with industry developments and market trends
• general administration, budgeting, finance and accounts.

Qualifications

It’s prefered to have a background in one of these fields:

• art history/history of art
• arts management
• business studies
• fine art/visual art
• marketing and sales
• modern languages.
