FHI 360 is currently recruiting for the position of Knowledge Management & Reporting Specialist for the organization’s USAID Ma3an program, which will increase the capacity of communities to withstand political, social, and economic stresses and shocks by achieving the objectives of: 1) strengthened community resilience, 2) mitigated community vulnerabilities, and 3) improved capacity of Tunisian partners to sustain and replicate the model.Ma3an  will spur 30 of Tunisia’s most vulnerable communities to action and generate sustainable resources for development in areas that are vulnerable to instability and violent extremism (VE). Together with USAID/Tunisia’s programs in accountability, decentralization, and youth entrepreneurship (i.e., TADAEEM and Mashrou3i), Ma3an will consolidate democratic progress while fostering social cohesion in target areas.

Job summary

Under the direct supervision of the Ma3an Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Director, the Knowledge Management & Reporting Specialist will be responsible for the timely production of reporting products to USAID, developing, writing and editing all internal and external communication material, ensuring that Ma3an’s SharePoint files are up to date. The KM & Reporting Specialist will supervise three staff: the KM & Reporting Officer and two translators.  As part of the MEL team, the KM and Reporting Specialist will work tightly with the M&EL Manager and the Communication Manager.

Position Responsibilities

Reporting

  • Keep track of key Regional offices and Tunis head office activities to generate content for and produce all reports due in a timely fashion.
  • Draft and manage reporting content development plan with all Ma3an teams (Quarterly reports and Annual report)
  • Ensure that feedback from Ma3an Senior Management Team and Technical teams, and from FHI360 West Africa Middle-East Regional Office (WAMERO) is addressed in the reports
  • Ensure requirements, lessons learned, and best practices for products, events, and other knowledge management activities are clear and well documented.
  • Manage the production of Ma3an365 learning one-pagers.
  • Manage the production of success stories in collaboration with the MEL Manager and the Communication Manager.
  • Draft the quarterly Ma3an Peeps Internal Newsletter.
  • Ensure that all internal communication follows USAID and project branding guidelines.

Knowledge Management

  • Ensure Ma3an Sharepoint portal content is current, relevant, and accurate.
  • Create Ma3an KM process/system and ensure that all Ma3an staff store documents into Sharepoint appropriately
  • Assist MEL Advisor and MEL Manager to enhance the collaborative capturing, sharing, managing, and re-using of the staff’s knowledge assets
  • Identify and curate technical website content – in collaboration with the Communication Manager and technical experts, manage and implement project-wide content strategies to ensure that the right knowledge is getting to the right people at the right time (and in the right way)
  • Support the M&EL Manager in the successful running of knowledge sharing events including monthly brown bags, After Action Reviews, internal workshops and peer to peer learning sessions
  • With support from the Communication Specialist identify creative, efficient and effective ways to engage audiences and facilitate sharing and collaboration
  • Using a coaching by doing approach, strengthen the capacity of KM and Reporting staff to produce fit for purpose and audience internal and external communication products.

Translation

  • Ensure the translation team produces quality and timely translations

 

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Minimum seven years of professional editing/writing experience or an advanced degree with at least three years of professional editing/writing experience;
  • Experience working and/or writing under USAID programs preferred;
  • Excellent and proven writing and verbal skills in English and Arabic, required;
  • Excellent, organization skills and ability to function in a fast-paced setting and work under tight deadlines;
  • Ability to quickly research and identify information with minimal to no supervision;
  • Flexibility, tact, and ability to work with diverse kinds of team members under tight deadlines;
  • Outstanding skills in persuasive writing and the ability to present technical ideas in a concise way; and
  • Familiarity with issues in positive youth development and community resilience is a plus.
