Job Title: Junior Corporate Engagement Officer
Reports to: Regional Communication Manager
Location: Tunis
Contract Type: Permanent Contract / Indefinite Term Contract (with probationary period)
- Background
WWF is one of the world’s leading biodiversity conservation organizations; its mission is to halt the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. WWF began operating in Tunisia in 1994 and implements the WWF conservation program throughout the North African region to safeguard natural environments and the species that live in them, promote sustainable lifestyles, train decision-makers, support citizens in their efforts to reduce their ecological footprint, and contribute to the environmental education of young people. In this context, the Junior Corporate Engagement Officer’s main mission (50% of the time) will be to hunt for, develop, and secure new funding from companies in North Africa, while ensuring the visibility and retention of acquired partners.
- Working Relationships
- Internal: The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Communication Manager, dotted line to the conservation director as well as in close collaboration with project managers, administrative teams, and WWF NA conservation teams.
- External: The incumbent will be the face of WWF to corporate decision-makers (CEOs, CSR/Marketing Directors) and business networks
- Detailed Tasks and Responsibilities
Partnership Development & Fundraising
- Prospecting and Identification: Conduct active monitoring to identify and target companies and multinationals whose CSR strategy aligns with WWF missions.
- Active Outreach: Initiate and conduct initial contacts (networking, “cold calling,” presentation meetings) to promote private sector engagement in conservation projects
- Offer Design: Develop tailored partnership proposals Aligned with partner expectations and WWF NA strategy and principales
- Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate the terms of partnership agreements (amounts, duration, indicators)
- Networking: Represent WWF in business circles, chambers of commerce, and CSR events to expand the organization’s address book.
Corporate Communication & Content
- Design and adapt communication materials (presentations, project sheets,goodies) intended for corporate partners, translating conservation technical jargon into “business” and CSR language.
- Manage the creation of digital content highlighting partnership “success stories” on social media and the website.
- Ensure compliance with WWF’s graphic charter and that of the partners.
Reporting & Retention
- Draft and compile indicators and impact reports intended for corporate partners.
- Prepare qualitative and quantitative campaign assessments to demonstrate the societal and environmental Return on Investment (ROI) to partners.
- Maintain a relationship of trust and proximity with existing partners to encourage the renewal of commitments.
Required Functional Skills
- Commercial & Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to convince, sell intangible projects, and conclude partnership agreements.
- Organizational Knowledge: Mastering of the environmental NGO ecosystem and its projects).
- Network: Knowledge of the local economic fabric and local CSR actors.
- Languages: Excellent command of French, Arabic, and English (oral and written).
- Required Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) in Marketing, Communication, Commerce, or Management.
- Experience: Prior professional experience required in the environment or sustainable development sector, or within a similar NGO.
- Soft Skills / Behavioral Skills:
- Demonstrated passion for nature and biodiversity conservation.
- Great adaptability and immediate operational autonomy.
- Interpersonal skills and excellent listening capacity.
