Background:

IREX seeks a Logistics/Operations Consultant to support its temporary activities in country. The consultant will be responsible for assisting IREX staff in implementing a number of workshops and provide logistical and operational support to its projects.

Scope of Work :

• Assist with a variety of operational/logistical issues as needed.
• Support the planning and organizing of workshops in Tunisia for Libyan participants including venue, transportation, food, etc.
• Support the day to day logistical and operational needs of IREX staff.
• Assist and support IREX staff with any legal and Ministerial matters that may arise.
• Provide administrative support to IREX’s projects including identifying suitable vendors, suppliers and services.
• Support in the logistical planning of project activities
• Follow IREX internal policies and procedures in relation to travel and procurement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Deliverables

• Time certificate detailing the specific hours worked and a brief description of associated tasks. The time certificate must be reviewed and approved by the IREX Project Director.
• A signed invoice corresponding to the time certificate.

Place of work

The Consultant will be expected to work from Tunis with some travel to various locations as required.

Tentative Timeline:

This is a temporary position. The period of support for this consulting agreement shall be from October 15th -25th November 2014 (with the possibility of extension if required).
