The UN agency for Migration – IOM Tunisia is looking for a Project intern according to the terms of reference stipulated below.

  • Duty Station : Zarzis, Tunisia
  • Position Title : Project Intern
  • Classification : Internship
  • Type of Appointment : 6 months
  • Estimated starting date: November 2017

Duties and responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Sub Office-IOM Zarzis and the overall guidance of the Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia, the successful candidate will support the implementation of the activities being carried out in the south region of Tunisia.

Core functions:

  1. Assist with the Data base management of the projects being implemented in the South; including vulnerability forms and FGDs findings
  2. Contribute to the update of input data entry, and maintain records and information in the database.
  3. Assist the team in the organization of events, workshops such as drafting invitations, schedules and any needed arrangements;
  4. Support staff in the preparation of communication document, briefings;
  5. Help staff in drafting project-related communication material, including correspondence, letters, minutes of meetings, memos, reports, briefing notes, graphic and statistical summaries, contact and partners lists, etc.;
  6. Translate project related documents, identify professional translation services, if need be;
  7. Undertake site visits as required;
  8. Assist in ensuring the archive of the project related documents ;
  9. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Completed university degree from an accredited academic institution, preferably in Social and Law
  • Demonstrated interest in working in international organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolios considered an asset
  • Sound knowledge of project implementation, financial and administrative management skills are an advantage
  • Familiarity with the region and the migration thematic is an asset
  • Good working knowledge in Excel software
  • Computer literate with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Languages:Fluency in Arabic, French and good knowledge of English.
