Position Title: Communication and public information intern

Duty Station:  Tunis, Tunisia

Type of Appointment:  4 months

Estimated Starting Date:  November 2019

Duties and responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Communication and Public Information Assistant the successful candidate will support the implementation of the “Aware Migrants” project.

Core functions:

• Support the drafting and lay-out of project-related communication material, including reports, briefing notes, graphic and statistical summaries, etc.;
• Consolidating the project directory (Governmental and non-governmental partners, journalists, media, communicators, artists, etc.)
• Assist the implementation of the information plan through various missions: shooting, photo and video reports, tutorial videos, content creation for social networks, montages, retouches …
• Support the organization in the 2019 edition of the film festival on migration, including update of the project visibility package, logos, promotional items, etc.;
• Support in the organisation of awareness raison activities, workshops, discussion panels and conferences, including in ensuring logistical, communication and visibility details;
• Ensure the update of the project photo database for Tunisia;
• Develop a booklet (with pictures, graphs and other illustrations) on the success stories of the project in Tunisia and develop guidelines to be followed by other implementing countries;
• Support administrative tasks linked to the implementation of the project and of the activities of the mission;
• Undertake site visits and duty travel if required;
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
