Position Summary

Internews is seeking an Admin and Logistics Assistant candidate for our program in Tunisia. The goal of the program is to increase accountability and transparency in Tunisia’s justice sector by strengthening the ability of media and civil society to collaborate on promoting information about legal reforms and institutions, as well as judicial processes, to the public. This position provides administrative support to the local office in coordination with the Finance and Administrative Manager, oversees logistics for all transportation, general supplies and accommodations, and performing daily accounting duties for the Tunis office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting travel logistics and arrangements, visa applications, and accommodations for meetings and events.
  • Supporting project document and file maintenance including assisting financial tracking and progress towards various project deliverables.
  • Supporting the hiring process for local staff and consultants in coordination with the Finance and Admin Manager and Internews Headquarters Human Resources department;
  • Manages office facility including scheduling, maintenance, stocking, etc.
  • Manages reception to ensure professional and effective telephone; communications both internally and externally.
  • Provide project staff with support such as research, correspondence and procurement as requested.
  • Prepare reconciliations of petty cash account as required for replenishment.
  • Assist the Finance and Administrative Manager in tracking project expenses including reviewing vouchers and managing payments out of the Tunis office.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an NGO/INGO setting
  • Proven ability to set priorities, meet tight deadlines, manage multiple assignments and time effectively
  • Prior experience/training with accounting or bookkeeping and processing payments
  • Familiarity with USG rules and regulations, particularly USAID and US State Dept. preferred
  • Experience scheduling meetings and planning events
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • English Fluency is required
