Duties and Responsibilities:
Must apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.
- Maintains books of accounts including but not limited to cash receipts, cash disbursements, trial balance, general ledger, bank accounts
- Performs monthly Bank reconciliation; Petty Cash account reconciliation
- Responsible for verification of all receipts presented for reimbursement
- Creates vouchers for expenditures, income, and acquisitions
- Serves as key liaison to the annual independent and grant auditors, to Tunisia accountant, and to the Finance team in ILF-NY Office
- Analyze, record and reconcile all cash receipts, cash disbursements and bank balances on a daily basis
- All books of accounts must be kept in order and in place; receipts for all accounting related transactions must be kept in organized manner; all books of accounts, receipts , and all other pertinent documentations must be available for inspection at all times
- Monitors staff reimbursements, prepares invoices and ensures timely payments
- Assists senior staff in the area of office management. Arrange for and/or attend meetings on day-to-day administrative and finance matters
- Undertakes all administrative arrangements for meetings, workshops, seminars and visitors by coordinating transportation, hotel accommodations, conference room reservations and audio-visual equipment, as required
- Communicates with closely program staff for information or tasks
- Provides administrative support to all office staff
- Performs other functions as assigned
