We are recruiting three expert consultants: a demographist, a sociologist and a psychologist, to undertake quantitative and qualitative research on youth in popular areas and radical engagement in Tunisia.
This consultancy is part of a three-year project funded by the European Union focusing on promoting social, economic and political participation of youth in marginalised neighbourhoods and border regions in the country.
The project covers the neighbourhoods/regions of Douar Hicher, Kasserine and Tataouine-Medenine. It will involve activities centred around four main components: quantitative and qualitative research, participatory governance, rule of law and pilot projects.
The consultancy necessitates participation in focus groups and meetings arranged by Alert. The consultant needs to have an advanced degree in social sciences – preferably a PhD – and at least five to ten years’ experience conducting research on issues related to youth. Fluent written and spoken Arabic is also necessary.
For further details, please read the Terms of Reference.
As the assignment will be based in different locations within Tunisia, trips will be an essential part of the consultancy.
