Job Summary
Democracy International is seeking to hire an Intern Data Administrator for the NASSEEJ project in Tunisia. This position is open to Tunisian nationals only. The NASSEEJ project is partnering with and supporting Tunisian Citizens to act on specific issues and effect change at the local, regional and national levels to advance Tunisia’s development in different sectors. Project interventions are intended to be timely, relevant and actionable, and will be focused on prioritizing activities that reflect public priorities, and have strong potential to create tangible, near-term, improvements in the daily lives of citizens.
Responsibilities
The Intern Data administrator will support the NASSEEJ program Team with specific attention to the following areas:
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing raw data from various sources.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Enforce policies and standards for data management.
- Uphold data security, confidentiality, and privacy standards.
- Ensure the proper functioning and optimization of database systems.
- Integrate data from different systems and sources to ensure compatibility and consistency.
- Implement data models to represent and structure data efficiently.
- Optimize data models for improved storage.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for data sources, structures, and processes.
- Facilitate understanding and collaboration through clear documentation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
- Commit to high ethical standards in work, including data confidentiality and adherence to professional rules.
- Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications, Skills, & Experience
- Recently completed academic studies (not a final-year project internship)
- Training in informatics technology, informatics science, informatics engineering, networks and telecommunications, software engineering or a related field.
- Adaptability and Flexibility.
- Excellent proficiency in French and Arabic/English is an asset.

- Excellent Excel skills.
- Good SPSS skills.

Compensation:
The internship will be remunerated.
Possibility of employment following a successful 6-month internship.
Reporting Requirements
The Intern Data Administrator will report to the Project Manager.
