The UN agency for Migration – IOM Tunisia is looking for a Consultant according to the terms of
reference stipulated below. Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications (in

Organizational Context and Scope:
Established in 1951, the UN agency for Migration – IOM is the leading inter-governmental
organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental
and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration
for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Project Manager- Migrants Protection and Assistance, and the direct
supervision of the Senior Project Assistant Case Management, the incumbent will assist IOM
Tunisia with the following tasks:
Essential Functions include:
1. Welcome beneficiaries at the reception.
2. Assist with identification of the immediate needs of vulnerable migrants and support, including through conducting intake screening as required at the Tunis Office.
3. Carry out individual consultations with vulnerable migrants and provide immediate
support, including answering questions on their case files and refer their cases to the required units.
4. Ensure that information on beneficiaries is codified and stored into a database for further processing, analysis, and reporting.
5. Submit monthly monitoring reports on time.
6. Answer calls on IOM helpline as back up and provide migrants with basic information on the services available in Tunisia, in accordance with appropriate internal protocol.
7. Carry out other such duties as may be required, adhering to IOM’s internal guidance, policies, and principles in the identification of target groups and assistance provision.
8. Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
• Bachelors or Equivalent or Higher degree in Social Sciences or other relevant speciality
from an accredited academic institution and two years of relevant work experience;
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy & confidentiality in performing responsibilities;
• Experience in the field of activities targeting returnees and vulnerable migrants or other
vulnerable individuals is an advantage;
• Excellent computer skills, especially in MS Office;
• Strong interpersonal & intercultural skills with an attention to detail;
• Team player; 100% integrity
• Any experience with migrants will be highly recommended.
Languages:
Full fluency in written and spoken French and English.
Thorough knowledge of Arabic.
