Job Position: Content Editor

Contract: Temporary (4 months)
Working hours: part-time, 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Reporting to: Communications Manager, IDEA MENA
Location: Tunis, Tunisia
Salary: 400 TND
Expected start date: November 2014
The successful applicant will already have the right to work in Tunisia.

IDEA Middle East & North Africa is seeking to appoint a Content Editor responsible for creating and editing information for IDEA website in collaboration with the Communications Manager.

The Content Editor will be responsible for translation and creation of the organization web content and editorial calendar according to IDEA web properties. Additionally, this role will be responsible for social media content managing to maximize conversation rates.

The Web Content Editor will be an experienced writer and editor and will learn the details about the programs, and fulfill change requests to keep the website updated. This position will have responsibility for expanding the scope and content of IDEA MENA online website and social media channels and ensuring that the IDEA MENA online community have comprehensive resources at their disposal.

Reporting to the Communications Manager, IDEA MENA (based in Tunis, Tunisia) the Content Editor will ensure the highest standards in the delivery of IDEA MENA’s web content communications.

Areas of responsibility

• Implementing IDEA MENA digital strategy;
• Develop web content: Translate and adapt the existing debatabase1 from English to Arabic;
• Develop multimedia content (Posters, videos…) and assist in the regular updating of the IDEA Arabic website and social media channels in Arabic;
• Manage content schedules;
• Communicate to external audiences about IDEA MENA programs, projects, achievements and initiatives;

Our network

IDEA is a network co-ordinated by a central office in Brussels and we have offices in the UK, Netherlands, Macedonia, USA, Central Asia (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) and MENA (Tunis, Tunisia). We operate with a network of partner organizations across 60 countries.

 

شروط الترشّح

  • Web Content Management experience
  • Strong native-level Arabic language writing, editing and speaking skills required
  • Excellent English
  • Experience in photo and video editing
  • Experience of managing marketing communications projects
  • Experience in Debate Training in Arabic
  • Self-motivated with the ability to generate ideas and stimulate discussion both with colleagues and external contacts
