Job Summary
Democracy International is seeking to hire a Graphic Designer for NASSEEJ Project. This position is open to Tunisian nationals.
NASSEEJ is partnering with and supporting Tunisian citizens to act on specific issues and effect change at the local, regional, and national levels to advance Tunisia’s development in diverse sectors.
Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer shall undertake the following tasks:
- Analyze requests and stated needs
- Carry out preparatory work (mock-ups, sketches, etc.)
- Validate the graphical proposals and make the necessary changes needed
- Proceed with the creation and realization of visual communication (brochures, posters, annual reports…) and ensure all steps
- Collaborate with colleagues across NASSEEJ project to create content for internal and external audiences, including:
- Developing timely material to promote DI activities for distribution on social media, website, newsletters, and other external modes of communication.
- Contribute to the design and materials for posting on DI’s website in coordination with the Communication Specialist.
- Follow work provided by external providers when it entails visual communication to ensure brand compliance, compatibility with DI and USAID visual guidelines.
- Become familiar with USAID branding and visual guidelines and ensure all materials are compliant.
- Layout deliverable reports, documents, one-pagers, and any other materials destined for external audiences
- Where possible develop easy to use templates for use across the project to promote consistency and standardization
- Any other task assigned by Communication Specialist or project Leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Bac + 5 a school of arts and communication training
- Required experience of at least 3 years in the design of visual communication solutions
- Familiarity with software suite Adobe (In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Flash after effect…) and the suite
- Familiarity with different types of printing (offset, silkscreen, digital)
- Be able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
- Ability to work with a diversified team.
- Attention to detail and good organization of all files and resource materials
- Creative with artistic eye and proactive
- Good editorial level in French, in Arabic and English.
- Prior experience with US Embassy, USAID or other US projects is desired.
Reporting Requirements
The Graphic Designer will report to the Communication Specialist.
