Location: Tunis with frequent travel to the 20 governorates aside of greater Tunis
BACKGROUND:
Civil Society Program : IASSIST
I-ASSIST is a capacity building program for local civil society launched by IWATCH in 2017 and funded by several donors including the Embassy of the Netherlands, Transparency International, and the European Union. I ASSIST has collaborated with over 80 civil society organizations and 20 radio associations in all 24 governorates of Tunisia to ensure accountability at the local level. The program is build on two values : partnership and networking.
ROLE SUMMARY:
He/ She will be responsible for the management of the sub-grants disbursed to partner CSOs. He/ She be in charge of disbursing the installments of the sub-grant and the follow up on the financial reporting of our partners. In addition, He/ She will be responsible for gathering spending justifications and ensuring that money is spent in compliance with the donor’s procedures, the Tunisian legal framework, and best practices. She/He will also be charged of support partner CSOs in fundraising efforts and in resolving governance issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be responsible for disbursing grants to I WATCH partners
- Ensure that partners’ expenses are in accordance with the laws in force
- Manage supplier regulations in accordance with I WATCH procedures
- Establish consultant contracts in accordance with I WATCH procedures
- Preparation of budget forecasts
- Maintain a database of information related to partner CSOs
- Make site visits to CSO’s Verification and classification of the supporting documents
- Coordinate with the CSO’s coordinator and the Finance team
- Conduct audit missions.
- Lead coaching missions for partner associations.
- Provide guidance and advices to the partners CSOs.
