Expression of Interest for Gender Analysis Researcher
Project Overview:
The project, titled “Transforming the African Food System Towards Sustainability (TAFS) – I Eat African,” is an initiative by the Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA), founded in 2011. AFSA is a coalition of civil society actors dedicated to promoting food sovereignty and agroecology across Africa. It advocates for farmers’ rights, sustainable agricultural practices, and food policies that support healthy, culturally appropriate diets. In collaboration with the Tunisian Association of Permaculture (ATP), established in 2015, AFSA works to advance agroecology and permaculture in Tunisia, raising awareness about sustainable agricultural practices and advocating for food sovereignty.
This project aims to promote the consumption of healthy, culturally appropriate foods supported by favorable food policies in Tunisia. It is a social and environmental impact project with a three-year duration.
Objective of the Study:
The gender analysis study seeks to provide actionable insights that will inform the development of policies, strategies, and interventions aligned with gender equality principles, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of the TAFS project.
