FUNDARAISING & COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

JOB TITLE

Fundraising and Communications Officer

DUTY STATION

Tunis Office

REPORTING LINE:

Regional Manager. The position works in close collaboration with the Tunisia/Libya Senior Management Team (SMT).

ABOUT CESVI LIBYA-TUNISIA (REGIONAL OFFICE)

Cesvi started operating in Libya in 2011. In the aftermath of the Arab Spring, Cesvi was the first Italian NGO to take action to support the population affected by the conflict in meeting their basic needs. Over the years, Cesvi has developed relevant expertise on migration and it has positioned itself as one of the most active Protection actors in Libya by addressing protection needs and promoting the resilience of migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, IDPs and vulnerable Libyans. Since 2011, Cesvi has developed a solid expertise in General Protection, Child Protection, Gender-Based Violence and Education in Emergency through a set of activities aimed at preventing and responding to violence, exploitation and abuse against boys, girls, women and men, while promoting their rights. Moreover, Cesvi is increasing its linkages to the formal education system and is actively engaged with CSOs to build their capacity and promote community-based support and inclusion mechanisms for the most vulnerable and marginalised groups. Cesvi also consistently works with the local authorities and international institutions to build and strengthen coordination and referral pathways.

We currently work through various institutional donors including UNHCR, UNICEF, Education Cannot Wait and EU-DG NEAR. We have a presence at country level with approximatively 180 staff.

Since 2016, we have opened an office in Tunisia to support the Libya Operations from an administrative and logistics point of you.

Taking advantage of our physical presence in Tunisia, and also being Tunisia a regional hub for many donors, in July 2022 Cesvi converted the Tunisia-support Office into a Regional Office with the clear goal of starting interventions in Tunisia and other neighboring countries.

Project interventions in Tunisia and neighboring countries will focus on protection, social inclusion, youth, migration, support to Civil Society Organisations through capacity building and subgrating

Strengthening our position in Libya and expanding in the Region is now the mandate of the Senior Management Team, specifically it will be responsibility of the Regional Manager, HR and Innovation Coordinator, Strategic, Development and Quality Coordinator and Finance and Operations Coordinator.
