The Munathara Initiative is a registered non-profit organization founded in 2012 with offices in Washington D.C.
Tunisia, Lebanon & Morocco. The Initiative aims at creating an independent and inclusive discussion and debate
platform in the MENA region. The Munathara Initiative is working to provide everyone in the Arabic speaking
world with a voice regardless of their age, gender or background in order to create a public sphere characterized
by evolvability and tolerance towards different points of view.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION & JOB PURPOSE

Oumour Themna project aims to enhance legal literacy among Tunisian youth, fostering a culture of respect for
the rule of law. By increasing awareness of legal processes, rights, and responsibilities, the initiative empowers
youth to navigate the legal system, make informed decisions, and actively participate in public debates.
Oumour Themna contributes to the improvement of access to justice for youth and promoting inclusive citizen
participation through increased availability of information. In this frame, two main activities are programmed: the
Maydan video podcast series on local justice issues and human rights topics of interest and the Public interest
media broadcast radio show.
These activities aim to bridge the information gap by delivering content on legal processes, fundamental rights,
and social issues. The Maydan video podcast series and the radio show provide platforms for informed
discussions, engaging Tunisian youth in meaningful conversations about their rights and responsibilities. The
ultimate goal is to empower youth to actively contribute to policy development actively, ensuring a democratic
and inclusive Tunisia where fundamental rights are protected and upheld.
In this context, The Munathara Initiative is seeking to hire a Radio Show and Podcast Producer who will be
responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the production of engaging and high-quality radio shows
and podcasts. S/he will work closely with the project team to ensure the delivery of compelling content that meets
the organization’s standards and objectives.
The role’ incumbent will be part of the Production department and will report directly to the Project Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Content Planning:
Collaborate with the project team to develop content ideas, themes, and episode concepts.
Create and maintain a content calendar, ensuring a consistent and well-paced release schedule.
▪ Scripting and Storyboarding:
Write scripts and develop storyboards for radio shows and podcast episodes.
Ensure scripts align with brand guidelines and target audience preferences.
▪ Production Coordination:
Oversee the entire production process, from recording to final editing and distribution.
Coordinate with hosts, guests, and technical staff to ensure smooth recording sessions.
▪ Audio Editing:
Edit and polish audio content using appropriate software.
Enhance sound quality, eliminate background noise, and ensure a professional final product.
▪ Quality Control:
Conduct regular quality checks to maintain high production standards.
Address and resolve any issues related to audio quality or content coherence.
▪ Platform Management:
Manage podcast hosting platforms and radio broadcasting tools.
Ensure timely and accurate uploading of episodes and relevant metadata.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
▪ Proven experience as a radio show and podcast producer.
▪ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
▪ Proficient in audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition).
▪ Knowledge of podcast hosting platforms and distribution channels.
