About OVC

Will and Citizenship Organization (OVC) is a youth-led NGO that was founded in May 2012. The Organization is headquartered in the region of Gabes, but it has a regional geographical reach, specifically in the southern regions of Tunisia. The NGO works to support democratization, human rights and youth and women socio-economic empowerment.

Position title:

• Job Title: Financial Officer
• Start Date: Immediately
• Location: Gabès
• Type of contract: CDD – full time

Main tasks/responsibilities:

The Financial Officer will work closely with the Project Manager and will undertake the following responsibilities:

Financial/accounting operations:

• Manage invoices and payment services and review expenditures related to project and office operations;
• Maintain the petty cash for the project and ensure the monitoring, disbursement and clearance of petty cash advances;
• Maintain project payments and receipts;
• Ensure that all invoices are paid correctly and on time;
• Ensures that all transactions are tracked and properly recorded in the accounting system in a timely manner.

Financial Reports:

• Maintain monthly cash flow monitoring and follow-up on the submission and approval of financial reports;
• Retain all supporting documentation in accordance with donor compliance rules.

Purchasing and administration:

• Prepare and submit purchase orders;
• Oversees and manages the purchase of office equipment and supplies.
