Job Title: Regional Program Manager – Medenine
Project: Tunisia Resilience and Community Empowerment – Ma3an
Location: Medenine, Tunisia

The position of Regional Program Manager – Medenine is expected to promote resilience at the community level, with the goal of addressing drivers of VE, building community engagement and identity, and strengthening social cohesion between marginalized populations and the rest of Tunisia.

Job Summary

The Regional Program Manager reports to the Program Development Manager and is responsible for program planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the activities implemented in Medenine and Tataouine. S/he is responsible for managing the Medenine office and overseeing implementation of community-level development activities, in addition to building and maintaining relationships with members of the communities and local partners in Medenine and Tataouine.  S/he will manage the regional team and directly supervise the Regional Programs and Grants Officer, Regional Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships Officer, and Regional Grants Procurement Officer in the Medenine Office.

Position Responsibilities

  •  Ensuring effective implementation of program activities in Medenine;
  •  Managing and maintaining strong working relationships with local stakeholders and partners;
  • Leading the coordination of logistics for activities in the communities;
  • Tracking performance against project timelines, budget, objectives, and deliverables;
  • Supervising the Regional Program and Grants Officers, Regional Grants Procurement Officer, Regional Stakeholder Engagement &
  • Partnerships Officer; and coordinating closely with the Regional Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer;
  • Communicating regularly with the Tunis-based project team, particularly the Deputy Chief of Party;
  • Providing inputs to high-quality deliverables to USAID;
  • Assisting with the production of monthly and quarterly progress reports and other reporting documents as needed; and Performing tasks related to the completion of project goals and deliverables.

شروط الترشّح

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study, such as international relations, international development, or public administration; advanced degree preferred;
  • 8 years (minimum) of relevant professional experience; 2 years of experience managing community development, civil society, social cohesion and/or youth activities;
  • A strong understanding of Tunisia’s political and social context;
  • Understanding of, and experience working in Medeine and Tataouine, preferred;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with local partners and stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated management skills and ability to effectively lead a highly collaborative team;
  • Strong communication, organizational, management, and interpersonal skills;
  • Fluency in French and/or Arabic; proficiency in English preferred.
