Job Title: Knowledge Management & Reporting Officer
Project: Tunisia Resilience and Community Empowerment (Ma3an)

Job Summary

A member of the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (ME&L) Team, working under the supervision of the Knowledge Management (KM) & Reporting Specialist, the KM & Reporting Officer will draft documents and provide editorial review of all program materials and work with program staff to proofread, edit, and provide clarity for staff external outputs.

Position Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the KM & reporting Specialist to play a key role in the development, writing, and production of regular reports to USAID, working closely with the MEL Advisor and all technical and administrative staff;
  • Provide technical writing and editorial review of all program materials (Bi-Weekly Activity Reports, Quarterly Progress Reports, Key Activity Reports, monthly newsletters) in a quick, efficient manner (program briefs, reporting requirements, conference documents, technical abstracts and materials, presentations, journal articles, technical reports and public information materials);
  • Proofread, edit, and provide clarity for staff external outputs;
  • Check that all program materials are responsive/compliant, sound, internally consistent, and appropriately address all reporting (COAG, USAID branding guidelines) and procurement requirements;
  • Review drafts of project materials to make recommendations to improve responsiveness/ compliance, organization, and clarity;
  • Prepare and assist with preparation, coordination, copyediting, and proofing of large and small reports and papers; as well as write-ups for USAID;
  • Compile news reports on program results, as requested;
  • Ensure document quality and branding as per USAID branding guidelines;
  • Work closely with program team members to cater writing style for program needs; and
  • Other duties as may be provided by the KM & Reporting Specialist and/or the MEL Advisor.

 

Critères d'éligibilité

  • BS/BA or its International Equivalent in journalism, communications, public relations, international relations, social sciences, or a related field;
  • Minimum seven years of professional editing/writing experience or an advanced degree with at least three years of professional editing/writing experience;
  • Experience working and/or writing under USAID programs preferred;
  • Excellent and proven writing and verbal skills in English and Arabic, required;
  • Excellent, organization skills and ability to function in a fast-paced setting and work under tight deadlines;
  • Must be able to meet deadlines; Ability to quickly research and identify information with minimal to no supervision;
  • Flexibility, tact, and ability to work with diverse kinds of team members under tight deadlines;
  • Outstanding skills in persuasive writing and the ability to present technical ideas in a concise way; and
  • Familiarity with issues in positive youth development and community resilience is a plus.
