Location: Tunis, Tunisia

FHI 360 is currently recruiting for the position of Finance Director for Tunisia Country Office.

Job Summary:

The Director of Finance will be responsible for financial management of the Tunisia Country office. This includes budget development and monitoring, subaward management for all FHI 360 projects in Tunisia and maintaining sound financial management practices

Essential Job Functions: Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership to finance aspects of all projects, including general administrative processes, financial management, sub award management and accounting;
  • Ensuring compliance of financial systems with FHI 360 policies and procedures, USAID rules and regulation, award requirements, and Government of Tunisia laws;
  • Conducting compliance reviews, internal audit follow up and hands on training to ensure sound financial management;
  • Collaborates with senior leadership on critical and complex aspects of budgetary and financial reviews and makes operational recommendations.
  • Issuing Monthly Financial Reports, balance sheet and quarterly accrual reports in consultation with the Finance Manager;
  • Supervising the Finance Manager in maintaining a highly secure financial system that considers the in-country financial and accounting security concerns;
  • Communicating/advising the Chief of Party on financial status of the project and funds availability for project activities;
  • Providing technical assistance to local partners on financial compliance and reporting;
  • Managing the finance team in charge of budgeting, financial reporting and accounting.
  • Facilitate the work of external audits and ensure that financial records are properly maintained and readily available during audits

شروط الترشّح

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as accounting or finance is required; MBA preferred;
  • Minimum twelve (12) years hands-on program management and direct supervisory experience with ability to lead and mentor staff;
  • Direct experience with financial management and procurement of goods and services;
  • Previous experience in a similar position with USAID funded projects;
  • Trained in USG rules and regulations;
  • Mastery of Excel and experience using QuickBooks, GFAS or other similar computer accounting software is required;
  • Ability to effectively manage a team and contribute to a highly collaborative program team approach;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • High integrity and strong attention to detail and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines;

  • Fluent spoken, written, and reading abilities in English, French, and Arabic;
