FHI 360 is currently recruiting for the position of Technical Advisor Positive Youth Development (PYD) and Community Resilience for the organization’s USAID Tunisia Resilience and Community Empowerment (TRACE) program, which will increase the capacity of communities to withstand political, social, and economic stresses and shocks by achieving the objectives of: 1) strengthened community resilience, 2) mitigated community vulnerabilities, and 3) improved capacity of Tunisian partners to sustain and repl icate the model. TRACE will spur 30 of Tunisia’s most vulnerable communities to action and generate sustainable resources for development in areas that are vulnerable to instability and violent extremism (VE). Together with USAID/Tunisia’s programs in accountability, decentralization, and youth entrepreneurship (i.e., TADAEEM and Mashrou3i), TRACE will consolidate democratic progress while fostering social cohesion in target areas.
Job Summary The Technical Advisor PYD and Community Resilience will work in close coordination with the Senior Technical Advisor to oversee the establishment and technical direction of all community- led development and resilience activities. S/he will be report to the Senior Technical Advisor and collaborate closely with Regional Program Managers, partners, and other technical and grants staff. S/he will supervise a Community-Based Development (CBD) Program Officer.
