Project Overview: 

Ma3an is a five-year (2018-2023) youth-focused project – funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) that aims to increase youth participation in civic and political life, address youth grievances, and prevent radicalization in vulnerable communities. Ma3an’s objectives are to equip youth with the skills to engage in civic action to address their communities’ needs and grievances through positive youth development (PYD) and enhance Tunisian capabilities to prevent and counter violent extremism (P/CVE).

Ma3an community support activity in Ksar: 

Ma3a project implementing a community support activity in Ksar, the intervention is in close collaboration with local stakeholders to modernize and equip youth center of Ksar with the necessary equipment to foster youth’s engagement in cultural activities, address their vulnerabilities and drive them away from violence and radicalization through providing spaces for art performances, leisure and sports activities and a space for expression and countering violence narratives 

Therefore, Ma3an is rehabilitating the amphitheater and equipping the theater and music clubs with the necessary adequate facilities. Ma3an is also creating a media lab and rehabilitating and providing equipment for E-sport and coding clubs. Ma3an also rehabilitating and equipping the multi-purpose hall, and civil society, human development, and reflection hub to develop youth’ skills and boost their autonomy.

Ma3an also providing trainings to make the intervention at the youth center more effective and useful for the community. Therefore, Ma3an is providing training of trainer in music, performance, and use of music equipment for the youth, youth center facilitator, CSO representative and local stakeholders.

Required Expert Service: 

The expert will lead the development and facilitation of 2 days of music, performance, and use of music equipment training of trainers in Gafsa.

Scope of Work (SoW): 

Ma3an will organize 2 days of music, performance, and use of music equipment training of trainers. The training targets a group of 15 to 20 participants.

Objectives:

1. Give the necessary fundamental knowledge as well as practical experience in music, performance, and use of music equipment training of trainers
2. Equip the audience with necessary tools to practice music and to perform  
3. Equip the participant with the knowledge of how to use the following equipment: 

• Violin
• Guitar  
• Oriental drums
• Oud – AZR-1, to 6 cordes 4/4
• Dynamic microphone
• Microphone boom
• Music organ
• Drums
• Mixing desk : power output : Power output mixer : 20 channels mixer 12 mic inputs, 12 line inputs (12 mono + 4 stereo), 4 GROUP buses, 1 stereo bus, 4 Auxes (including FX), D-PRE mic preamps with inverted Darlington circuit

1. Equip the audience with necessary tools to transfer the knowledge to strengthen their training and facilitation skill. 

Target Audience: 

• 15 Youth between 18 to 29, youth center facilitators, Youth program inspector, CSO representative and local stakeholders.

Expected Deliverables: 

• Develop a rigorous methodology on workshops themes/subthemes, content, format, and type of interaction with audience (Training Preferred to be delivered in Arabic or/and Tunisian dialect).
• Lead the implementation, coordination, and facilitation of the training sessions.

• Location: Gafsa 
• 1 room with at least capacity of 20 pax. 

  Payment Terms 

• The contractor will be paid on a lump sum basis as per agreed per assignment.
