BEDER Organization was founded by a group of civil society activists after the revolution in January 2011. The revolutionary spark encouraged an entire generation to rebuild an inclusive country based on the values of dignity, justice and equal chances. Our organization ensures that during this transition, the values that were defended in the revolution are protected and translated into tangible, transformative and effective actions.

Our main interest is to increase and diversify the possibilities of community development in Tunisia. We work on this mission by increasing and accelerating the impact of local actors and stakeholders as well as by cultivating the leadership needed for this change and the community resilience that will sustain it.

Our organization creates the potential for improvement on a fundamental level that satisfies the needs of the Tunisian society.

BEDER Organization seeks a professional, motivated, and creative executive director to join to supervise BEDER projects staff and permanent staff.

He/She will supervise a team of three full time permanent staff members which are logistics and operations officer, communication officer and reporting officer.

He/She will supervise projects staff which is currently up to 15.

He/She will collaborate with the organization accountant.

He/She will report to board members

Responsibilities

1. Handle the administrative and financial needs
2. Reach out to civil society organizations, institutions, think tanks, private sector and donors
3. Follow up the projects implementation and set the weekly deliverables for the staff.
4. Manage the budgets of activities with detailed reports.
5. Provide regularly (weekly and monthly) reports on the progress of activities
6. Establish good relationships with local and national authorities
