FHI 360 implements the USAID Tunisia Ma3an project. USAID Ma3an’s goal is to increase youth participation in Tunisia’s civic and political life, address youth grievances, and prevent
radicalization in Tunisian communities vulnerable to violent extremism. Ma3an does this by equipping youth with the skills to engage in civic action to address community needs and youth grievances through positive youth development (PYD) and by enhancing Tunisian capabilities to prevent violent extremism (PVE). Ma3an uses a community-driven PYD-PVE model that is
participatory, and solutions focused and helps to inform interventions that are gender and socially inclusive in 40 target communities.
Job Summary:
The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for developing USAID required environmental compliance documentation, including environmental mitigation and monitoring plans (EMMPs) and annual environmental mitigation and monitoring reports (EMMRs) as well as any environmental assessments required for USAID Ma3an-funded community development activities, including small-scale construction and infrastructure projects. S/he will ensure the project’s compliance with USAID environmental regulation and reporting requirements, local Tunisian environmental regulations and policies as well as the FHI 360’s Environmental Guidelines.
