A program for all youth in Tunisia interested in getting their voices heard to a global audience.
The program will select participants who will benefit from training sessions and mentoring on how to start their own podcasts. Top performing participants will be selected to benefit from coaching and support to get his/her/their podcast produced and launched under a sponsorship from XITLNTS.
Participants will be selected according to the following criteria:
- Interest and passion: Candidates should demonstrate a genuine interest in podcasting and a passion for storytelling or discussing topics of interest in English.
- Creativity and originality: Applicants should showcase creativity in their podcast ideas or in their approach to storytelling. Originality in content and format will be highly valued.
- Clarity and communication skills: Strong verbal communication skills are essential for podcasting. Candidates should be able to articulate their thoughts clearly and effectively.
- Diversity and inclusivity: The program aims to represent diverse voices and perspectives. Candidates from various backgrounds, communities, and identities are encouraged to apply.
- Commitment and Dedication: Participants must demonstrate a willingness to commit to the program’s training sessions and actively engage in the learning process. Dedication to refining their podcasting skills is essential.
- Tech Savvy: While prior experience with podcasting equipment or software is not required, candidates should demonstrate basic proficiency with technology and a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
- Storytelling ability: Candidates should possess a knack for storytelling or presenting information in an engaging and compelling manner. The ability to captivate an audience through audio content is crucial.
- Potential Impact: Applicants should articulate how they envision their podcast making a positive impact, whether it be by educating, entertaining, inspiring, or raising awareness about important issues.
- Availability and accessibility: Participants should have access to the necessary resources to participate in the program, such as internet connectivity and a suitable recording environment.
- Team player: While podcasting often involves individual work, the ability to collaborate with others and contribute positively to a team dynamic is beneficial, especially for potential collaboration opportunities within the program.
The winning participant will be selected according to the highest score in different categories (scoring grid to be shared later).
