Internship: Project Administration, Asia Team (Berlin)
Background
Democracy Reporting International (DRI) is a non-partisan, independent, not-for-profit organisation registered in Berlin. Democracy Reporting International promotes political participation of citizens, accountability of state bodies and the development of democratic institutions world-wide. Democracy Reporting International is currently recruiting an intern for its Berlin headquarters to support the Asia team for projects in Pakistan, Myanmar, and other countries.
Tasks include:
- Supporting the Asia team in all aspects of project administration, including organising international missions, arranging project events and visa arrangements, maintaining associated files, etc;
- Assisting with expert recruitment and contracting;
- Upon request, researching and drafting short notes on electoral, constitutional, or human rights developments in project countries or the Asia region;
- Other duties as required.
The internship is full time, starting February 2015 with a duration of 3 months. An internship allowance will be provided.
شروط الترشّح
- On-going studies (master’s level preferred) in NGO management, international business, or political science;
- Excellent English writing and communication skills. Proficiency in any Asian language would be an asset, but is not required
- Proficiency in main computer applications, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and the use of the Internet, including social media (Twitter and Facebook) and applications such as Dropbox and Google Apps (Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.);
- Previous experience working in NGOs or donor-funded projects will be considered an asset.
