Ma3an is a seven-year program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented in cooperation with the Presidency of the Government. Ma3an’s goal to increase Tunisian youth civic engagement and economic opportunities. At the community level, Ma3an uses a community-driven youth development model to inform and support sustainable interventions through ongoing collaboration between community actors that are inclusive, participatory, and solutions-driven. These include working with and through local CSO partners to understand local dynamics in each community; and implement community-driven youth development programming involving youth, local NGOs, local government, and other community leaders through community-specific grants.

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

The Digital Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing digital communications strategies to promote the mission and the impact of Ma3an program across digital channels.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Online Outreach and Content Creation

  • Create, modify, and update Ma3an content to better communicate about Ma3an mission and impact to the public
  • Create high-quality engaging content for various digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Manage content production (writing and multi-media) for visual storytelling platforms and social media
  • Manage a large digital asset library and multimedia production of external agencies

 

Social Media Outreach

  • Produce and populate Ma3an social media platforms with up-to-date content to increase engagement and followers
  • Develop and implement digital communications strategies that support the mission of  Ma3an program including social media campaigns and other digital channels focusing on impact stories
  • Manage day-to-day social media content of Ma3an Program (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube)
  • Manage Ma3an social media accounts, including content development, scheduling, and analysis of engagement metrics
  • Works collaboratively with departments across the organization to increase social/digital media capacity.
  • Monitor comments, mentions, and respond in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinates social and digital media buys to achieve campaign and project goals
  • Monitor and analyze digital engagement metrics and use insight to continuously improve the awareness about Ma3an achievement

 

Communications Strategy

  • Develop external communications networks, pitch stories to relevant platforms/ media
  • Draft and/or edit articles, press releases, and speeches
  • Support editing and review of all program documents for consistency, accuracy, and clarity
  • Support the planning and execution of communication/outreach strategy for external events
  • Perform other duties assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent content creation skills;
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately and concisely convey complex and technical information;
  • Strong understanding of how to link communications activities to business strategy and goals;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and establish strong working relationships with colleagues, local partners, and external agencies
  • Excellent oral and written in Arabic, English, and French
  • Self-starter, able to think creatively and work independently;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and carry out multiple activities and projects with competing deadlines;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);

شروط الترشّح

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, international relations, political science, business administration, or a related field plus a minimum (5) years of work experience in digital communications :
  • Experience managing or contributing to social media profiles and activities on behalf of a business or nonprofit organization.
  • Experience with creative design applications such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva;
  • Experience within the international development sector is strongly preferred.
