Goal of the Position
The Digital Communication manager is in charge of promoting an organization’s products and goals to the public, using the latest digital marketing strategies to foster brand awareness and loyalty across a wide-reaching audience.
Role:
Develop overall digital communication strategy for the Campaign in support of its objectives.
Ensure the digital communication strategy links to the peaks of the campaigns team, research and policy work and other communications peaks
Ensure digital content is engaging, topical/up-to-date and relevant and supports the objectives, brand and values of the Campaign.
develop social media advocacy campaign for the organization’s programs
Plan and assist with content creation (e.g., photography, graphic design, charts, polls, scripts, video making)
identify new technologies and trends, and budget planning
Provides constructive and timely digital communication performance reports to the Head of Communication.
Handles discipline and termination of team members in accordance with the organization policy.
Responsibilities
Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content,
annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization’s
activities, products and/or services.
Ensuring that digital marketing content aligns with the organization’s brand identity and message.
Contribute in the communication department efforts towards a quality implementation of the
communication strategy and plan of the organization
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies
in digital communication, Digital Marketing; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for external communication team.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in a marketing-related field as the job does require some knowledge of internal marketing processes and utilities.
At least 1 years of professional or voluntary work experience in designing and executing digital
communication activities, preferably in development programs
Strategic marketing knowledge, innovation and creativity
knowledge of social media and SEO, data analysis, graphic design and related software
skills
Ability to work in a team and to sometimes tight deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced work
environment
ability to multitask and work with different teams
Ability to communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to
partners, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be
exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail
Ability to create new ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including creative contributions
Proficient in use of adobe suite applications related to the tasks
Experience of working with local NGOs and government bodies would be an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
excellent oral and written communication and good level of English, French and Arabic (both verbal and written)
Knowledge of and experience with media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, andvisual media. Experience with communication/ creative agencies/ vendors will be added
