DRC/DDG has been working in the region in Libya and Tunisia since 2011. In 2014, DDG started a project in border towns in southeast Tunisia to address community security and resilience by establishing local committees for community dialogue and conflict management. DDG is currently implementing a project that reinforces the committees in Tunisia and also extends them into Libyan border towns.
The overall purpose of this consultancy is to deliver a training on foundational conflict management concepts and skills for community members from Zuwara or Nalut and Wazin. The participants will all be members of newly established local conflict management committees, and the training aims to give them skills for understanding conflict dynamics, utilizing effective communication skills, analysing conflicts, and developing strategies for violence prevention.
