The Organization:

I WATCH is a Tunisian watchdog organization created after the Tunisian revolution, which works mainly on two axes: transparency and corruption. I WATCH is the official Chapter of Transparency International in Tunisia since September 2019. I WATCH is made up of like-minded young professionals and motivated volunteers who, through their innovative work, are determined to tackle the issue of corruption and lack of integrity in both public and private sectors through laying the foundations of good governance.

The program: I Assist :

Through this program I Watch seeks to support the capacity of partner associations by contributing to providing them with the necessary tools that ensure the association’s structural and material sustainability

I Assist aims to provide support for decentralization of active local associations about good local governance including transparency and integrity, monitoring the local affairs and follow up of municipalities projects.

The program aims to create a network of associations all over the country, that can monitor and control the performance and any future abuses of elected local groups.

The CSO’s Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the different activities related to the CSO’s component of the project.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, Build and maintain close relationships with I WATCH partners in the 24 governorates of Tunisian territory.
  • Identification and selection of potential partners (mapping)
  • Identify the needs of partner organizations and prepare training cycles that meet the needs of partners.
  • Organize and prepare coaching sessions to assist partners in the following themes: elections, local governance, anti-corruption and access to information with the I WATCH team.
  • Evaluate and improve the concept-note and budget sent by the partners.
  • Creation of project monitoring systems for partners.
  • Prepare activities’ reports
  • Act as the project focal point for all CSOs, working to resolve any complaints or issues with the management of the organization
  • Tracking the implementation of partners’ projects
  • Monitor CSO’s reports in collaboration with the Grants Officer and the Project Manager
  • Coordinate the implementation of the various activities in relation with CSO’s component, in close collaboration with the relevant project staff.
  • Maintain a database of information related to CSO’s
  • Work closely with partners in order to develop their organizations (Capacity building and NGO management)
  • Work closely with assigned IWatch team to ensure activities are implemented according to standard operating procedures

Critères d'éligibilité

  • University degree in Social Sciences, International relations, business administration, political science, or any other related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience working with local and/or international NGOs
  • Strong presentation, writing and management skills
  • Field based experience working with local CSO’s in Tunisia
  • Working flexible hours to engage partners in multiple regions
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, and the ability to maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to travel across the country
  • Required language: fluent Arabic and French
