The Consultant will contribute to the Protection Unit work, in the framework of the COMPASS programme. The Cooperation on Migration and Partnerships to Achieve Sustainable Solution (COMPASS) is a multi–year programme funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The programme seeks to ensure that migrants of all gender and diversity groups have access to protection–sensitive pathways and are empowered to contribute to the
sustainable development of their communities.
5. Category B Consultant: Tasks to be performed under this contract:
In close coordination with IOM Tunisia, the consultant will perform the following tasks:
• Develop the report outline.
• Propose a research methodology and data collection tools, including interview guides.
• Conduct interviews and/focus group discussions with migrant groups.
• Analyse migrant profiling data as provided by IOM.
• Draft the report in compliance with IOM House style Guidelines.
Tangible and measurable output of the work assignment:
• Final Migrant Profile Report.
• Executive Summary highlighting the Report main findings.
• Final Report presentation to IOM Tunisia team.
• Interview guides.
• Interview transcripts.
• Any other data collected during the assignment.
Performance indicators for the evaluation of results
• Satisfactory completion of tasks and deliverables on time;
• Quality of the elaborated analysis;
• Timely delivery of outlines and/or drafts as indicated in point 5 and the final draft;
• Compliance with IOM House style Guidelines;
• Delivery of any other tasks indicated above.
Education, Experience and/or skills required
Experience:
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in research on migration, including qualitativeresearch experience.
• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in research analysis, drafting and methodologies.
• Good knowledge of the migration context and dynamics in Tunisia, North Africa, and Western Africa.
• Excellent writing skills, experience in writing reports, articles, analyses.
• Experience in presenting research results.
• Excellent proven analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Languages:
– Excellent command of French and English (written and spoken), good command of Arabic would be an advantage.
Skills:
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Capacity to work independently and deliver high–quality, actionable recommendations.
6. Travel required.
The consultant will have to travel to Tunis to perform his tasks. He/she could possibly travel to IOM suboffices and IOM shelters in the South of the country.

The consultant must adhere to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Data Protection Principles
(IN/138) and maintain confidentiality.
The consultant will be responsible to follow IOM writing guidelines and latest glossaries in all given assignments
for accurate translation.
