Citizen Engagement Officer – I Watch Retour vers les opportunités

The Organization: 

I WATCH is a Tunisian watchdog organization created after the Tunisian revolution, which works mainly on two axes: transparency and corruption. I WATCH is the official Chapter of Transparency International in Tunisia since September 2019. I WATCH is made up of like-minded young professionals and motivated volunteers who, through their innovative work, are determined to tackle the issue of corruption and lack of integrity in both public and private sectors through laying the foundations of good governance. 

Mission:

To support with the development of strategies, planning, and implementation of citizen engagement activities aligned to the mission and vision of I WATCH. 

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

– Identify opportunities to create new initiatives and support relationships and affiliations with community partners (universities, municipalities, public administrations, local NGOs..)

– Promote and facilitate community outreach and civic engagement initiatives.

– Build and structure the network of I Watch’s volunteers and alumni

– Manage the database of the community

– Contribute to the knowledge sharing on I Watch’s strategy

– Assist in the collection and reporting of data; ensuring all required and requested reports 

needs are met. 

Qualifications:

-Proven work experience in civic engagement or similar role

-Experience planning and leading community initiatives

-Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing)

-Excellent interpersonal and presentations skills

-Attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver-Organised, detail oriented, able to prioritize and consistently produce high standard work

-Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines.
