Chemonics International seeks a Operations Specialist for the USAID/Tunisia Jobs, Opportunities, and Business Success (JOBS) project. The purpose of JOBS is to create jobs in Tunisia by providing targeted technical assistance to individual firms, to increase that firm’s competitiveness, enabling it to expand and hire additional workers. At the same time, in support of the goal of job creation, the project will assist Tunisia with workforce development and job placement as well as identify and advocate for improvements in Tunisia’s business enabling environment.

The Operations Specialist will be responsible for the project’s operations related functions; including management and assistance with all logistical support. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and support day to day office operations, including but not limited to the purchase of office supplies, project travel logistics, event coordination tracking inventory of all project equipment, and managing project vehicle use and maintenance.
  • Facilitate execution of contracts, procurements, financial management, and human resources tasks as needed.
  • Maintain all personnel files and ensure files are complete and in compliance with local labor law and the project’s policies.
  • Assist with maintenance and adherence to human resources and operations standards and procedures.
  • Assist with the interpretation and application of policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and supervise Administrative Assistants as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance and Operations Manager to achieve the project’s goals and objectives.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 3 years of professional experience related to operations required.
  • Experience supervising administrative staff preferred.
  • Experience working with USAID or other international donors preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
  • Fluency in Arabic, French, English required.
