The Export Development Specialist will be responsible for leading outreach efforts to Tunisian exporters, building and managing relationships with stakeholders, supporting businesses in identifying their needs and how BRCP II can provide technical support for export markets. Ultimately, she/he will be responsible for deliverable concrete results (measured in actual exports) of client firms.

Detailed responsabilities
- Export Assistance Program Development
- Lead outreach efforts to prospective exporting client enterprises and introduce them to BRCP II and/or provide export promotion services identified by other BRCPII business advisors
- Utilize his/her international network to identify markets and specific firms wishing to buy Tunisian products, i.e., Identify foreign buyers, attract them to Tunisia, and secure commitments to source locally
- Identify relevant international trade shows, preparing companies to present at these shows, do preliminary work/contacts to ensure participation success, and help firms follow-up on perspective buyers
- Carry out due diligence to screen companies
- Conduct initial assessment of companies’ export capabilities and current international markets to tailor an export assistance program
- Train other BRCP II staff across components on the exportpromotion process as well as client enterprises under their growth plans
- Generate export promotion activity plans for client enterprises
- Provide international business development coaching and mentoring to client enterprises
- Track enterprise progress against client growth plans and report progress
- Identify local buyers and nurture interest in sourcing from underserved economic areas
- Match sources of FDI to high-potential investment opportunities
- Acquaint local producers with the latest design trends in international markets
- Forge PPPs to avail new technologies, investment, growth, efficiency, and inclusivity
- Assist disparate producers or service providers to organize and create alliances to fulfill market requirements
- Help new and informal companies get registered
- Create regional information hubs and networks to connect firms with new opportunities
- Stakeholder Coordination and Support
- Coordinate with main stakeholders such as CEPEX, theMinistries of Commerce and Industry, and chambers of commerce, etc. for sector-based activities throughout the project, as well as with theAmerican Chamber of Commerce in Tunisia and the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) to conduct competitiveness benchmarking
