Job Summary 

Democracy International is seeking to hire a Capacity Building Coordinator for the NASSEEJ  project in Tunisia. This position is open to Tunisian nationals only. The NASSEEJ project is  partnering with and supporting Tunisian Citizens to act on specific issues and effect change at  the local, regional, and national levels to advance Tunisia’s development in different sectors.  Project interventions are intended to be timely, relevant, and actionable, and will be focused on  prioritizing activities that reflect public priorities, and have strong potential to create tangible,  near-term, improvements in the daily lives of citizens. 

Responsibilities 

The Capacity Building Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and  coordination support to the Capacity Building Specialist, with specific attention to the following  areas: 

Collaborate closely with the CB specialist in NASSEEJ Project for the implementation of  NASSEEJ Capacity Building strategy  

Coordinate various CB activities in alignment with project objectives. 

Contribute to the co-design, development, and adjustment of CB action plans. Collaborate with external consultants or trainers as needed 

Maintain continuous communication and follow-up with local partners and grantees  regarding their CB activities. 

Support the facilitation and animation of training sessions and meetings. Ensure accurate documentation of training activities and gather participant feedback. Participate in tracking and evaluating the capacities and skills developed through the  program. 

Assist in report writing and development related to CB activities. 

Perform other duties as assigned in support of project goals and organizational needs.

Required Qualifications, Skills, & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in social studies, international development, statistics (quantitative and/or qualitative), or related fields
  • 3 years’ experience in Capacity Building for civil society organizations in Tunisia. In-depth understanding of the dynamics within the Tunisian civil society. Strong facilitation and reporting skills. 
  • Analytical and organizational proficiency. 
  • Familiarity with coaching objectives and processes. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Fluency in English, French, and Arabic. 

Reporting Requirements 

The Capacity Building Coordinator will report to Capacity Building Specialist.
