Call for proposal to organize youth sport and creative activities -The Innovation and Planning Agency عودة إلى الفرص

Project Description 

The Innovation and Planning Agency is currently implementing the “Harraga Project” which is  funded by the European Commission and the Austrian Ministry of Interior in Tunis, Sousse,  Sfax and Zarzis. The project establishes direct contact and involvement of Tunisian and third  country migrants to better care for those in particular need of protection and to ensure access  to help. The target groups are assisted with psychosocial support counseling and safe  spaces, facilitating reintegration in their country of origin, information and legal services. It is  further hoped that alternative solutions and perspectives can be developed to counteract  irregular migration. 

Under work ‘package 3’ social / sporting / creative activities are planned for young Tunisians,  returnees, migrants, asylum seekers with the following planning / objectives / deliverables:  

• Via the “grassroot” contacts made by the project’s streetworkers a number of youth  sport and creative activities are to be developed in the noted project zones that set  positive signals and interactions 
• Special value is placed on the access and participation opportunities of girls as well as protected persons such as young people with disabilities  
• The involvement of “influencers” and youth leaders is planned in order to positively  communicate the migration subject and to counter current taboos. 
• Project design to follow community-based and participatory approaches resulting in an  empowerment of participants to enable them to express their ideas and have their  voices heard in their communities and / or to facilitate the establishment of youth clubs  or youth get-togethers 

Funding information :

The grant per project location / zone shall not exceed 20,000 EUR (total of 80,000 EUR) 

Timeline 

The activities are to be implemented by June 2021 until the end of February 2022.
