CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
Training Program for Legal Professionals
Constitutional Guarantees, Equality, and Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB)
Attalaki is launching a specialized training program designed to strengthen the professional capacities of emerging legal actors in Tunisia. The initiative focuses on enhancing practical knowledge related to constitutional guarantees of equality, freedom of conscience, and the protection of rights within the national legal framework.
Tunisia’s constitutional and legal system provides important guarantees concerning equality before the law and freedom of belief. The effective implementation of these guarantees depends in large part on the ability of legal professionals to interpret and apply existing legal mechanisms with rigor, clarity, and professionalism. Strengthening applied legal skills in this area contributes to reinforcing constitutional culture, improving the quality of legal reasoning, and supporting coherent and consistent legal practice.
Within this framework, the program aims to deepen participants’ understanding of relevant constitutional and statutory provisions, clarify the relationship between domestic legislation and international legal commitments ratified by Tunisia, and strengthen practical competencies in legal drafting, structured argumentation, and case analysis. The approach adopted is strictly legal and professional, with a focus on technical skills and applied methodology.
The training will take place over three full days in person. Participation is free of charge. Selected participants who complete the full program will receive a certificate of participation. The venue and detailed logistical information will be communicated directly to selected candidates.
About the Program
The program consists of a three-day intensive workshop combining expert-led sessions with practical legal exercises. Participants will engage in structured case analysis, guided drafting sessions, and a supervised mock trial simulation designed to translate constitutional principles and legal provisions into professional practice.
The workshop is designed to encourage analytical thinking, reinforce structured legal reasoning, and strengthen the ability to mobilize existing remedies within the national legal framework. It also offers an opportunity for peer exchange among legal professionals and advanced law students from different regions and backgrounds.
Training Methodology
The workshop follows a practice-oriented methodology that combines technical presentations with interactive learning. Sessions will include expert interventions, moderated discussions, case-based group work, legal drafting exercises, and a mock trial simulation.
The pedagogical approach emphasizes clarity in legal reasoning, disciplined interpretation of constitutional provisions, and the practical use of available legal tools. The objective is to move beyond theoretical discussion and focus on the applied dimension of legal practice in Tunisia.
