Do you have an idea for a new tourism product, service, or experience that will strengthen Tunisia’s appeal as a cultural, natural, and beach holiday destination? If so, we invite you to apply now to the USAID-funded Visit Tunisia TOURISM INNOVATION FUND!
The purpose of the TOURISM INNOVATION FUND is to support Tunisian tourism businesses and organizations to develop and deliver new tourism products, services, and experiences that promote Tunisia’s diverse cultural heritage and natural environment.
Your application will be considered based on a combination of the following factors:
- If it supports the diversification of the Tunisia tourism product offer, particularly in underserved regions of the country
- If it contributes to the enhancement of the quality of tourism services in Tunisia
- If it appeals to market needs and demand
- If it demonstrates that the innovation is commercially viable
- If it will extend visitor length of stay, especially in non-peak visitation periods
- If it supports job creation
- If it supports women, youth
- If it benefits local communities
- If it develops and promotes good practices of sustainable management of resources in the tourism industry
- If it works in synergy with the other tourism stakeholders and helps connect them
A few important things to be mindful of:
- You may submit only one application per business/organization.
- Note that the fund does not assist the ongoing marketing or operational needs of organizations, including staffing.
- This is a two-stage process. Applicants who are invited to round 2 will work with the USAID Visit Tunisia team to refine your innovative tourism activity concept to identify possible financial and technical assistance support to be provided by the USAID Visit Tunisia Activity.
- Please note that grants are expected to be awarded by October 2022
- Please note that any data submitted as part of this application will be subject to Tunisian and US regulations governing personal data protection.
