Position: Communications Associate

Location: Tunis, Tunisia

Starting Date: Immediately

Experience: Early Career

Contract Duration:  6 months (with possibility of extension)

Salary: The remuneration will be commensurate with the experience of the applicant and competitive rates in NGOs

Position description:

We are seeking a Communications Associate to join the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS). The Communications Associate will work closely with the Media & Communications Uniton promoting CIHRS work with target audiences in the MENA region, EU, and USA. S/he will be responsible for aligning internal and external communication,insuring output consistency with CIHRS brand promotion and maintain CIHRS digital presence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily maintenance and content update of CIHRS social media platforms- Facebook,Twitter,LinkedIn,YouTube.
• Present weekly data analysis of social media performance and evidence based insights suggesting enhancements.
• Lead logistical preparation for press conferences, meetings, and special events related to the Media & Communications Unit
• The up keeping of CIHRS’s global media contact database.
• Coordinate the distribution of press materials, such as news releases and reports to media in the Arab region, Europe and the US;
• Update and maintain the Editorial Calendar.
• Assist in the development and implementation of digital campaigns.
• Coordinate translation and editing.
