FULL TIME JOB VACANCY

JOB TITLE: HRE Associate

PROGRAM: Human Rights Education Program (HREP)

LOCATION: Tunisia

 

Objectives

  • Facilitate workflow within the program
  • Facilitate work between the program and CIHRS administration
  • Be responsible for the organizational/logistical side of planning,capacity building, and training events and activities.
  • Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation and filing for the program
  • Ensure implementation of work plans and continuous development of programs
  • Assist the Human Rights Education Officer with other tasks as necessary

Tasks

  • Developing a filing system to maintain the “program’s memory”, in coordination with the HRE Officer, and keepit up-to-date;
  • Updating all of HREP’s databases (resources, participants, etc.);
  • Assisting in program management tasks when assigned;
  • Assisting in design training agenda and training delivery when assigned;
  • Organizing training programs, workshops, lectures, conferences of the program (including through phone calls, hotel reservations, hall rentals, food arrangements, transportation, badges, participants’ confirmation, list of participants, photocopying and preparing materials,etc.)
  • Coordinating meetings and activities,updating program’s calendar, writing minutes of meetings when requested;
  • Providing assistance in administrative and financial issuesrelated to events’ participants;
  • Providing logistical and administrative support to the program (booking tickets, hotel reservations, etc.);
  • Studying prices of goods and services in light of budgets, in consultation with the financial and administrative directors;
  • Ensuring payment of all financial obligations of the program in coordination withthe financial and administrative directors;
  • Cooperating with the financial director to issue the financial reports of the program;
  • Ensuring proper translation of materials, including translating or reviewing them if needed;
  • Collecting data and performing research if needed;
  • Preparing reports and coordinating their submission with the Programs Development Unit.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Excellent English and Arabic language skills
  • A university degree
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
  • Excellent ability to work as part of a team and in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience in filing systems
  • Ability to work well under pressure, to adapt to emerging issues and changing priorities
  • Willingness to work extra hours on occasion, sometimes during weekends, for overtime pay as the need arises
  • Creative, diplomatic, and detail-oriented
  • Experience in human rights issues preferred
  • Experience working in adult learning and/or capacity building positions preferred; Computer skills using a variety of software packages, such as Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc., to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases
