ROLE OVERVIEW

The Security Guard reports to the Premises Supervisor in fulfilling  the below primary responsibilities :

1. Checking persons (staff, customers, visitors, contractors) before entering premises ie security arch, search bags
2. Check that correct passes are being work by all people on the premises
3. Providing  security coverage for British Council events as assigned by a direct-line supervisor
4. Providing  control of customers when necessary and as assigned by a direct-line Supervisor
5. Responding to requests for routine departmental services (e.g., unlocking  offices for a person authorised to enter, escorting visitors)
6. Accepting deliveries
7. Controlling keys
8. Monitoring CCTV cameras.
