BEDER Organization is a youth-led civil society organization that was founded by a group of activists after the revolution in January 2011.

Our main interest is to increase and diversify the possibilities of community development in Tunisia. We work on this mission by increasing and accelerating the impact of local actors and stakeholders as well as by cultivating the leadership needed for this change and the community resilience that will sustain it.

Our activities’ framework is mainly related to developing local governance, preventing&countering violent extremism, and empowering social entrepreneurship.

BEDER is currently recruiting for the position of Projects Manager for the association’s different programmes which aims to strengthen the resilience of young people and increase social cohesion in disaffected communities.

Job description:

The Projects Manager will be embedded in the various programmes’ teams and will work in close coordination with various internal and external stakeholders such as the senior managers, institutions government partners. The Projects manager will specifically support the seniors managers in the planning, the coordination and the follow-up of the different activities.

The Projects Manager role is to assist the senior managers by providing early detailed information on the progress of the activities and by contributing to the planning and the development of the projects. Although based in Tunis, the Projects manager is therefore required to attend and observe programme events, interact with a wide range of project stakeholders, frequently travel to different locations in the Greater Tunis and other regions in Tunisia to conduct field visits.

The Projects manager would preferably have some experience in the coordination and the management of development projects but will be provided opportunities for growth and learning.

This position requires frequent travel to project locations to maintain regular contact with key local stakeholders and ensure a smooth implementation of program activities.

Responsibilities of the Projects Manager:

The Projects manager will support the Senior Managers in the implementation of different activities.

Specifically, he will:

• Develop and maintain updated work plans project activities, and oversee the effective implementations of planned activities to the highest results, in a timely manner and within budget.
• Ensure progress on all activities, including research activities, liaising with key local stakeholders, project partners and possible external consultants.
• Lead training activities and provide support to trainers on the design of training materials.
• Conduct regular field visits, attending different project activities to ensure their quality, and communicating with the key local stakeholders to create/maintain trust and engagement.
• Report weekly to the Senior Managers.
• Assist the Senior Manager and BEDER’s team with other tasks as needed.
