Job purpose: 

The Regional Youth and Civil Society Programme Manager will lead the strategic and operational planning, business development, management and delivery of projects in Youth and Civil Society Strengthening, to ensure achievement of the required impact/margin/timeliness outcomes for the British Council and its clients. The current portfolio includes contributions to: Young Arab Voices, Jamaity and the EU Strengthening Resilience project.

The opportunity: 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with Knowledge of policy and programming for Youth and civil society strengthening in MENA, Experience of design, development and delivery of projects in this sector, including business development (proposal preparation) and business delivery (project management) to join the MENA Programmes Regional team.

This is a locally appointed role which could be based either in the Levant countries: Lebanon, Jordan, Occupied Palestinian Territories; or in Maghreb: Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt.

The salary and package will be as per local terms and conditions of the country where candidates are based. Candidates will be engaged on a local contract at grade E.

Contract length: 3 years FTC
