Title: Social Media Content Producer

Reports To: El Kul Editor and Coordinator
Based: Tunis, Tunisia
We require a dynamic Social Media content Producer with a developed understanding of editorial values together with current affairs and civil society activities. You will be expected to write and produce multi-media news for El Kul and to originate inspiring, humanitarian and daily stories and prepare material for broadcast, offering ideas and guidance to the Editors so that El Kul continues to provide a balanced, accurate, diverse and engaging platform for national Libyan dialogue.
EDITORIAL JUDGEMENT: Makes the right editorial and policy decisions based upon a clear understanding of the BBC editorial policy, the requirements of news and current affairs coverage as well as those of the programme departments.
CREATIVE THINKING: Translates news and current affairs into high quality programming through a detailed understanding of the requirements of the broadcast media and possession of the necessary writing, directing and reporting skills.
SUBJECT KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrates an excellent knowledge of news, current events and features in general and specific areas of expertise in particular, including language skills. Develops useful, reliable and exclusive sources of information.
ANALYTICAL SKILLS: Simplifies complex problems, processes or projects. Identifies casual relationships and constructs frameworks for problem-solving and/or development.
MANAGING RELATIONSHIPS AND TEAM WORKING: Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people; works cooperatively with others to be part of a team, as opposed to working separately or competitively.
PLANNING AND ORGANISING: Thinks ahead in order to establish an efficient and appropriate course of action for self and others. Prioritises and plans activities taking into account all the relevant issues factors such as deadlines, staffing and resource requirements.
