Job purpose:
You will have a successful record in working in an online production environment with noticeable experience and enthusiasm for social media and interactivity. You will also have an excellent knowledge of developments in social media and related areas in North Africa, and particularly Libya. You will be able to write, produce and edit content to high editorial standards and you will be able to demonstrate sound editorial and community judgement. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the power of online communities and will appreciate the needs of the target audience for the Libyan current affairs site, ‘El Kul’.

Main duties:
- To take responsibility for producing and editing stories, segments, interviews and further social media options.
- To be up to date with the new trends on social media and the ability to react accordingly.
- To ensure that user generated content is suitable for inclusion on all digital services and to be willing to take editorial responsibility for content.
