Terms of Reference – Translation Services for the kick-off of African Parliamentary Network on Illicit Financial Flows and Taxation (APNIFFT)in Tunisia.

Introduction

Tax Justice Network Africa (TJNA) is a Pan-African organisation established in 2007 and a member of the Global Alliance for Tax Justice.  It is a network of 29 members in 16 African countries. Through its Nairobi Secretariat, TJNA collaborates closely with these member organizations in tax justice activities at the national and regional level.  TJNA seeks to promote socially just and progressive taxation systems in Africa, advocating for pro-poor tax policies and the strengthening of tax systems to promote domestic resource mobilization.  TJNA aims to challenge harmful tax policies and practices that favour the wealthy and aggravate and perpetuate inequality.

1.Roles and Tasks; The translator will undertake the following duties:

1. Shall translate all documentation inference and usage particularly for the APNIFFT project.
2. Documents shall be translated from English to French and on a need basis from French to English.
3. Documents required for translation shall include but not limited to:

•  Concept Note
• Others

4 .Documents are to be translated and reverted in a timely manner

5 .Are to ensure to capture accurate translation in the technical context of the perspective of the documents mentioned herein.

2. Deliverables;The expected deliverables from this assignment:

1. Final Draft of the translated concept note
2. Translation of the Program
3. Report of the conference
4. Translation of evaluation form.

3 .Timeframe

The Translation contract will run for a period of 30 dayson 26^thAugust to25thSeptember 2019

4. Disclaimer

All contracts for services related to the training shall strictly follow the procurement rules of TJNA. Any contract that does not follow those rules will be considered null and void unless there has been exceptional clearance by the Executive Director.
