Advisory Council Expert -DI Retour vers les opportunités

Objective 

NASSEEJ Activity, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)  and implemented by DI, works with Tunisian initiatives, supporting them on priority issues of  local interest. The Activity aims to promote Tunisia’s development in various sectors. As part  of this, NASSEEJ will strengthen the capacity and sustainability of Tunisia’s development sector.  The multi-year project will also address key issues for citizens and encourage the creation of  links between different sectors, fostering stronger collaboration, cooperation, and unity. 

The project is seeking to hire an Advisory Council Expert To provide technical support,  strengthen partnerships, and ensure proper reporting on activities conducted by local civil  society partners in alignment with project goals. 

Tasks and Responsibilities 

1. Review and Understand Field Activities 

Thoroughly review and comprehend the field activities carried out by local civil society  partners. 

Ensure that all activities align with the project’s objectives and are effectively addressing the  needs of the target populations. 

2. Provide Technical Monitoring and Support 

Offer ongoing technical support to local partners to ensure smooth implementation of  activities. 

Monitor and evaluate the technical aspects of their work, offering guidance and solutions  where needed. 

Assist in identifying challenges and developing strategies for improvement.

  3. Establish and Strengthen Partnerships 

Engage with local authorities and government agencies to build strong working relationships. Develop and maintain communication channels between local civil society partners, local  authorities, and government representatives. 

Facilitate collaboration between the civil society organizations and governmental bodies to  enhance the effectiveness of field activities. 

4. Reporting and Documentation 

Compile and analyze data and feedback from local partners and stakeholders. Draft monthly monitoring reports that summarize field activities, identify challenges, and  outline progress toward project objectives. 

Ensure that the reports include inputs from local civil society partners, local authorities, and  government representatives, creating a comprehensive picture of the project’s impact. 

Deliverables 

Monthly technical monitoring reports that include updates on field activities, challenges, and  recommendations for improvement.

Submitting Monthly reports on partnerships with local authorities and government agencies

Duration: 

12 months ( 4 days per month) with the possibility of extension based on project needs and  performance. 

Location 

Tunisia, with travel to field locations as necessary. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Experience working with civil society organizations, particularly in monitoring and  evaluation. 
• Experience working on women working in agriculture: In-depth experience addressing  issues related to women working in agriculture, including challenges such as equitable  access to resources, livelihoods, and decision-making. 
• Experience working on health-related issues for women working in agriculture:  Demonstrated experience working on health-related issues affecting women in  agriculture. 
• Strong ability to build partnerships with local authorities and government institutions. • Excellent reporting and analytical skills. 
• Fluency in French and Arabic (optional: English proficiency). 

This scope of work outlines the key responsibilities and deliverables for ensuring the successful  implementation and monitoring of activities carried out by local civil society partners while  fostering partnerships with governmental authorities for more effective project outcomes. 

EVALUATION CRITERIA:  

Tender selection criteria will be as follows: 

1. Required qualifications and experience as demonstrated through CV and Portfolio (50  points)  
2. Past performance as measured through references (50 points).
