Job Title: Administrator Assistant for Tunisia and Libya

Location: Tunis

Duration of Assignment: 6 month

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Reporting to: Finance Manager

HC is currently implementing a number of development and emergency projects aimed at improving living conditions of children and communities in Europe, Africa and Asia.

 Job Summary

The Helpcode Italia Organization is looking for an Administrator Assistant to support the Finance Manager in ensuring smooth operation of all finance, HR and administrative matters.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage petty cash and advances
  • Prepare cash and bank reconciliations
  • Support the Finance Manager in processing bank transactions
  • Ensure internal control procedures are followed for all disbursements, receipt and transfers
  • Prepare staff payroll
  • Process Social Security and Tax payments
  • Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
  • Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable
  • Register data entries into the accounting system
  • Support PMs and Finance Manager in the preparation of procurement
  • Support the Finance Manager in the HR management (contracts, travel arrangements, visa, etc.)
  • Responsible for proper management of the office
  • Maintain fixed asset register and inventories
  • Perform other duties as required

Critères d'éligibilité

  • University degree in Finance, Administration, Accounting or related field and/or professional certification as CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA etc.
  • Previous NGO working experience in Finance, Administration and/or Accounting (minimum 2 years)
  • Experience working with main institutional donors (EU, ECHO, AICS, USAID, etc.)
  • Fluency in Arabic and French
  • Good working knowledge of English
  • Good knowledge of Tunisian and Libyan labor and taxation law
  • Good knowledge of Tunisian and Libyan labor and taxation law
  • Knowledge of accounting software
  • Advanced knowledge of Office package, in particular Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
  • Demonstrated capacities to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with government officials, local organizations and other stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
