The Regional Program Political Dialogue South Mediterranean of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS PolDiMed) is looking for an administration manager and accountant to complete our team based in Tunis for the next possible date.

Tasks:
• In coordination with the director: Overview of all administrative processes of the office, especially payments, taxes, work planning.
• Overall accounting overview and collaboration with accounting, project staff and work closely with all office staff, especially project coordinators and team assistant.
• Check invoices for correctness and book them. Accounting in accordance with Tunisian law. Correct administrative procedure according to KAS specifications.
• Close exchange with the bank, handling of banking transactions. Close exchange with auditor. Overview of Tunisian legislation.
• Timely completion of monthly and annual billing. Responding to audit reports from KAS headquarters.
• Contact with external service providers and participants as well as partners of the Foundation in the administrative area.
• Review and prepare contracts, pay salaries, maintain leave records, review payroll.
• New employee health insurance enrollments and registrations. Collection of sick certificates, administration and coordination with health insurance.
• Cooperation with the auditor, e.g. in the preparation of tax returns and verification of information before payment of monthly taxes. Knowledge of operations for tax exemption.
• Other administrative and accounting duties may be added as agreed upon by the Director.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Master degree in accounting or administration or management of an international non-governmental organization, or a related field.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to link all aspects of the project.
  • Excellent English command - both orally and in writing.
  • German and French and/or Arabic language skills are a relevant additional qualification.
  • At least five years of professional experience in a comparable position.
  • Experience in public procurement law and German accounting is an advantage.
  • Work experience in institutional, political and business related international organization.
  • Relevant experience in accounting, administrative duties and coordination in a challenging environment.
  • Experience in working with governmental, economic and civil society institutions. Proven knowledge and experience with cooperation/development project management procedures are an advantage.
  • Strong sense of ownership and effective work ethic.
